TANGKUBAN PERAHU

Long time ago in west java, there lived a woman named dayang sumbi. She was thirsting for a husbanf. Along her life she kept praying and praying. At last, god heard her pray. A male dog picked up her and dayang sumbi got married to the dong and the dog “tumang”. After years, dayang sumbi gave a birth to baby and named  Sangkuriang . But dayang sumbi never told sangkuriang who his father was.

One day sangkuriang was hunting with tumang in the forest and sangkuriang found nothing except a little animal. Sangkuriang blamed tumang for failure and then he killed tumang. When dayang sumbi knew that she was very angry

“What !!! you killed tumang??

“Sorry mom” said sangkuriang

 “I hate you now you waren’t my son. Go away from my house now!”

Dayang sumbi hit sangkuriang’s head with a big spoon.

Many year letter sangkuriang wandered  and found old house in the forest . sangkuriang come closer to it and there was a old beautiful women, women that was dayang sumbi. Dayang sumbi recognized/realized the wandered as sangkuriang.

Accidentally, sangkuriang force dayang sumbi to marry him.

“Oh dayng sumbi, you look beautiful, I fall in love you, and will you marry me?” said sangkuriang

“Hmmm, ok I will marry with you, but before that you must build a big boat just in one night now” asked dayang sumbi.

At night sangkuriang called his friends devils and fairies to help him. Feared with the boat complete,

“ohh no… sangkuriang almost finish, what must I do now?” said dayang sumbi with afraid.

dayang sumbi asked other women in her village to help her. Then the women punched the grains with grain puncher to make noise which disturbed the devils and fairies.

The morning came before sangkuriang completed the boat. Unfortunately the faire sang the devils also left sangkuriang alone. Finally, sangkuriang got very angry and kiced away the boat to the downside, which finally turned into a mountain, called TANGKUBAN PERAHU.
